Eco-Corps Expeditions

Our Eco-Corps program is a truly unique, grass-roots level conservation and sustainable-development effort. Volunteers come from a variety of backgrounds and all bring different skills and expertise to the program. As an Eco-Corps volunteer, you are "adopted" by a host family from the community you are working with; some find living with a village family to be the most rewarding part of their experience. You'll learn about coral reefs and local conservation issues and efforts as you explore and experience the diverse fauna and fascinating culture of Fiji.

Reef Explorer's Eco-Corps Expeditions are one-of-a-kind conservation and cultural experiences based in the beautiful Fiji Islands. Come explore the incredible diversity of life on Fiji's colorful coral reefs and lush tropical forests, while experiencing true island culture and hospitality. You'll learn about coral reefs and marine conservation issues, as well as Fijian natural history, culture, and language while living and working in a coastal Fijian village. The training you receive will enable you to participate in on-site collaborative research, education, conservation, and sustainable development projects.

Our special Guest Scientist Expeditions afford a truly special opportunity to assist and support international scientists as they address specific research questions to support coral reef conservation efforts. You'll learn about international marine conservation efforts and conduct fieldwork along side established scientists from reputable institutions. All Guest Scientist research involves local community participation and provides valuable information for community-based management efforts.
